Internet franchise portals are the leading source of inquiries from potential franchise owners, and the smart phone is their Internet connection of choice. That’s according to new research shared at the Franchise Leadership and Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga., Wednesday.
Smart phones provide TWICE as many prospective owners as desktop web surfers on the largest network of online franchising directories, as the chart above shows. And the mobile share has TRIPLED in the past five years. That’s an astounding shift on its own, and even more astounding when you consider that mobile share was basically zero just 10 years ago.
